Leroy Sané, the German winger who was signed by Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2016, has had a mixed tenure at Bayern Munich.
Sané made his debut for Bayern on August 19, 2017, and immediately caught the eye with his pace and dribbling skills. He scored two goals and provided three assists in his first five games for the Bundesliga giants, but his form began to wane as the season progressed.
Injuries also played a major role in Sané's struggles at Bayern. He suffered a broken leg during training in November 2018, which ruled him out for several months. Despite this setback, he managed to score six goals and provide four assists in his second half-season at Bayern.
However, Sané's time at Bayern did not end well. After scoring a stunning goal against Wolfsburg in March 2019, he injured his ankle while playing for Germany's national team in a friendly match against England. The injury forced him to miss the remainder of the season and the start of the next one.
Despite these setbacks, Sané remains a talented player and is likely to return to the starting lineup at some point in the future. However, it will be interesting to see how his injury affects his performance at Bayern.
